Making God the Center

I showed several videos yesterday for the message from the I Am Second video series. We were finishing up the Gods at War series and the last week was all about the God of Me. Each of the stories addressed how each individual turned over their dreams, fears, addictive behaviors, relationships, and even their own hearts to God. He transformed their lives by His Word, His people, and the power of the Holy Spirit. The NEXT STEPS for the day were to confess our idols, repent and turn our idols over to the Lord to destroy, and to allow the Lord to replace all our idols with Himself as he becomes the center of our lives. I'm very excited to see the steps of faith God's people make in the coming weeks. He wants to show up in some powerful ways through the lives of His people if they allow Him!

Since pitchers and catchers report to training camp today I thought you'd like to know a little about last year's Cy Young Award winner. Pretty cool stuff. Praise God!

Church Website Improvements

LightandLifeChapel.org
Have you ever checked out the website of the church I pastor? Maybe you have, but not lately. Let me know what you think. We are looking to make subtle improvements over the next few weeks and would love to have input from others. Do you like the graphics used? Is the navigation easy? Does a person know where to go to GIVE if they wanted too? Things like this helps us know how to enhance a person's experience with the site. One of the major improvements will be in the SERMON area. It will be like iTunes and will be accessible on all devices not just on a PC.

Dads and Daughters

I want to encourage all dads out there to click on this link to find out what your kids need to see from you in regards to your love for their mother. It could make a difference for a lifetime for them.

Going to enjoy this movie with some of my son's friends on Saturday for his 10th birthday. Looking forward to some great laughs! Who wants to come and hang out with a bunch of 4th graders?

Prayer For My Son – A Policeman

This was a moving tribute to a Father's respect of his son and his profession. Ever since my days working as a volunteer chaplain with the Huntsville, AL Police Department, I've had such admiration for the work our officers do to serve our communities. This is worth your time to read.
